Friday, October 14 6:00pm-midnight

This will be a terrific opportunity to spend time with other sisters, learn new skills, and make crafts and Christmas presents for your friends and family.
Please bring your favorite holiday appetizer or dessert to share along with a copy of your recipe. Below you will find details of the crafts that will be available on this night. If you would like to learn how to make a craft but would not like to purchase the supplies, you do not need to sign up, just come!

To sign up for a craft, you can sign up using an order form in church or send an e-mail with your name, which craft you would like to participate in and what ward you are in to MelissaAWaller@hotmail.com. The crafts will then either need to paid for in your ward or you can mail a check to Melissa.

**Order forms will need to be turned in at church by Sunday, September 25th or brought to your committee member’s house by Sunday, October 2nd (General Conference).
All crafts will be on display at the General RS broadcast on September 24th at the stake center.

**When you pay in your ward, checks are preferred and need to be made out to Melissa Waller.

Crafts and activities that will be available:

Brownie Mix in a Jar

Cost: $5 each
Time offered: 8pm-9pm
Great gift for a visiting teacher, coworkers, or anyone else! You will assemble brownie mix in a jar and instructions on how to make it.

Candy Making Demonstration
Cost: Free!
Time offered: 9pm-10pm
Come learn how to make several kinds of yummy homemade candy!

Nativity Blocks

Cost: $8/set
Time offered: all night
This is a child-friendly nativity set! Kids can play with it! It won't break! These make great gifts for your own children or grandchildren, friends, or can be a great addition to your own collection.
**The wood will need to be picked up a week before the craft night to be sanded at home. The sanding takes a while and doing it ahead of time will allow you the time to do other crafts between coats!
***You may order multiple sets, but you will probably only be able to complete 1 set on this night unless you do NO OTHER crafts that night.
****Bring your own hair dryer to speed drying of paint and mod podge coats and a box or box lid to transport it.

Fall Napkin Rings

Cost: $1/ring

These festive fall napkin rings are perfect for your Thanksgiving feast!

Wool Felt Flower Clips


Cost: $0.50/flower
Time offered: all night
These cute flowers make great presents for the little or big girls in your life! Wool felt is soft and has a retro look. They can be used as hair clips, pins to go on a blouse, or to attach to your purse, etc. This is a craft you can teach to your children so they can make them, too!
**Please indicate how many flowers and the colors you want so we can have the correct supplies on hand.

Melted Edge Flowers

Cost: $0.50/flower
Time offered: 6-8
These flowers make great gifts and look great for women and girls!
(No charge for class if you bring your own fabric.)
**If you bring your own fabric, it needs to be 100% synthetic (no cotton!) You need to test it at home before you bring it to make sure the edges melt. Place the edge of the fabric near a candle flame and if the edges melt and curl a bit, it works!

Glass Etching


Cost: NO prepayment! Vinyl stickers will cost $0.15 per 1-inch letter/embellishment, with an additional cost of $0.05 for each additional half inch (letters can be made up to 8 inches wide). The cost for etching cream will be $0.20 for each 1" square area. Along with the etching cream, the stickers will be paid for and made to order the night of the activity between 6 and 6:30. Please bring cash in small amounts to pay for this. Making change will be difficult!
Time offered: all night (Order what you would like cut between 6:00-6:30)
This is a great way to ensure you always get your pyrex back when you lend it out! Etch your first or last name to make sure it always comes back to you. Pick up a new casserole dish at Wal-Mart and it can be made into a great wedding or Christmas gift! You can etch other glass items, too! Candy jars, vases, etc.
**When signing up, please indicate how big the area is you intend to etch so we can be sure to have enough vinyl and etching cream on hand.
***Glass that is more than 10 years old will not etch!!

Knitting and Crochet Corner
Cost: Free!
Time offered: all night
Bring a crochet hook size I, J,or K and a skein of 4 ply plain straight yarn (no bumps, lumps, or fuzzies.) There will be teachers available throughout the evening to teach you how to crochet or improve your technique.

Fall Blocks

Cost: $7/set
Time offered: all night
These fall blocks make a great addition to your fall décor!

Picture Blocks

Cost: $0.50/block
Time offered: all night
These are great year round decorations for your house! They also make a great gift for grandmas and grandpas! Each block shows off 6 different pictures.
**For each block you want to make, bring 6 pictures printed on regular computer paper. If the pictures are on glossy or professional paper, they will smear and get ruined!

Casserole Tote

Cost: $1
Materials YOU need to bring:
-1 yard 45” wide cotton fabric for cover
-1 yard 45” wide cotton fabric for lining
-1 yard cotton batting
-1 spool all purpose thread
-6” sew on hook and loop tape
-1 pkg. wide bias tape
-Sewing pins
-Scissors
Time offered: 7:30-midnight
This cute casserole tote gives you a way to carry your warm casserole without having to bring hot pads and worry about burning yourself.
**This is a time intensive project and takes 2-3 hours.

Quilting Service Project
Cost: Free
Time offered: all night
Come help others in need by helping to quilt! We will have different quilting techniques for you to learn and offer your service to others less fortunate.

Origami/Kirigami

Cost: $1 for instruction packet (pay when you sign up), $0.01/sheet origami paper (pay at midnight madness)
Time offered: 7pm-8pm
There will be several different origami/kirigami (folded/cut paper) techniques taught this night. You can learn how to fold all different types of shapes and animals! They make great decorations and ornaments. Another great activity to teach your children/grandchildren!
** You will pay for your origami paper on the night of the activity (bring cash in SMALL amounts...making change will be difficult!) Please bring an Exacto Knife if you have one at home. Magnet Boards

Cost: $10 (NO prepayment)

Bat Wall Hanging

Cost: $5
Time offered: 6:30-7:30
Come make this darling bat hanging! It will make a great addition to your Halloween decorations. It is a simple sewing project, so it is a great opportunity to learn how to sew if you don’t know how!

Witch's Hat
Cost: $3.50
Time offered: all night
This witch’s hat is a modern, fun Halloween decoration! It makes a great gift for anyone who loves Halloween!

Christmas or Birthday Gift Bag

Cost: $0.50
Time offered: all night
This homemade gift bag and tag are great ways to add the extra something to your gifts. We will have both Christmas and birthday options available.
**We will not be making autumn bags like the one shown above. You can make Christmas or birthday bags. Please indicate on your order form which kind you would like to make and how many.

Holiday Garland

Cost: Free
Time offered: all night
What you need to bring:
-1/4 of a yard of 4 different coordinating holiday fabric
-A string of lights
Come make this decorative holiday garland. You can make it for any holiday-Christmas, Valentine’s day, Halloween, etc.
